The following requirements must be met by applicants to be qualified for the scholarship:

Undergraduate Scholarships

  • All applicants to the undergraduate degree courses must hold the minimum requirement of five (5) distinctions (As and Bs) in the Senior Secondary School Certificates W.A.E.C. (May/June) Only in the subject areas relevant to their field of study, including English Language and Mathematics.

Postgraduate Scholarships

  • For postgraduate degrees, all applicant’s programs must be able to demonstrate the First Class ( 1st Degree with at minimum Second Class Higher Division.) Students who were the previous recipient of Foreign Awards must have completed at least 2 (2) years after completing their post-qualification or employment practices in Nigeria. All applicants must comply with N.Y.S.C. The age limit is 35 to apply for master’s degrees and 40 to obtain a Ph.D. Only:

  • The employer will grant the evidence of readiness.

The bilateral scholarships are offered for students to pursue an undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Scholarships are provided for these fields of study:

1) Undergraduate level -Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Sciences,

2) Mathematics, Languages, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social

3) Sciences Architecture, Biotechnology, Medicine (very, very), etc.

4.) The postgraduate stage (Masters’s Degree or Ph.D.) is in all disciplines.

  1. Because the B.E.A. countries are not English-speaking, candidates must be prepared to complete the one-year mandatory Foreign Language program in their chosen country, serving as the primary language of instruction.
  2. Japan applicants should have a strong background in mathematics further;

2.) 2) Postgraduate (P.G.) study is available in Russia (for students whose initial degrees were earned in Russia), China, Hungary, Serbia, Turkey, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, etc.).

Affiliation to the National Health Service: The B.E.A. awards scholarship is available for Nigerian citizens only or students from outside Nigeria.

 Apply For the B.E.A. Awards for Nigerians to Study Abroad in 2022

Time required: 25 minutes.

Candidates who would like to apply for the B.E.A. award scholarship must submit two completed applications to the different JAMB CBT centers along with the attached documents:

  1. Two sets of photocopies of educational Certificates along with Testimonials
  2. Schools that were previously attended by the originals could view them.
  3. One certificate is only acceptable, i.e., W.A.E.C. of May/June, for
  4. Undergraduate applicants;
  5. Two copies of Birth Certificates from the National Population Commission;
  6. State of origin/L.G.A. certification is signed, stamped, and dated.
  7. Four (4) passport-sized colored photos with a white background; and
  8. Postgraduate students will be required to provide Academic transcripts as well as
  9. N.Y.S.C. certificate of discharge or exemption certificates are only valid.

All eligible applicants must be present for interviews in the places scheduled for accreditation on the day before the expected time for the exam. Candidates chosen by the Board must submit the required documents to the Federal.
